Blender 101 from David Ward

What's all this, then?

As Paul McCartney did with the Beatles, I'm branching off on my own to see how well I can make it. I'm open to suggestions for tutorials, but just know that there are still some things in Blender that even I don't know how to do :D

Advanced hand rigging with controllable skin- and muscle movement. I "think" this needs extra bones and constraints, but bending fingers just don't cut it for me, and weight painting only works with smaller finger movements, then the flesh will deform in most unholy ways :-P. I would also pay for this. It surely could be used for other things, like brow movement, or if this all works with shape keys, I'd follow comment no1 here!

How about something 'technical', along the lines of Robert Burke's Precision Modelling" guide (www.rab3d.com/.../)?
With the greatest of respect, there are countless tutorials out there for modelling squidgy characters, rigging them and texturing them, but hardly anything on using Blender in a "technical drawing" sense. This would be great to highlight the fact you don't need $x,000 SolidWorks / ProE etc. to model industrial devices.

I have learned so much from the Johnny Blender and Alien training series and would to see this again but using 2.5. Maybe a new character running through the whole process again but including texturing, bump maps, normal maps, rigging, walk cycles, etc. I have been very impressed with these tutorials and hope you continue in this same style/approach to learning

What about a tutorial on creating hair (that may even move as the person walks, if that's possible with blender). I never know how to do that.
